Stop What’s Holding You Back. Strengthen What Moves You Forward.

Some people come to Boise Hypnosis because an unwanted pattern is controlling part of their lives.

Others come because they’re already doing well—and know they’re capable of more.

UAM-based hypnotherapy does both: it changes the automatic responses that limit you and deliberately develops stronger capabilities that move you toward the life, performance, or future you want.

Explore the areas below to see where your goal may fit.

Change an Unwanted Pattern

You can understand a problem completely and still find yourself repeating it.

That’s because many persistent problems aren’t failures of intelligence, motivation, or character. They’re automatic patterns your mind has learned to activate before conscious thought can take control.

Boise Hypnosis works at the level where those patterns are operating.

Break Free From Anxiety, Stress, and Overthinking

You may know you’re safe and still feel your body preparing for danger. You may understand that worrying accomplishes nothing and still be unable to shut it off.

Hypnotherapy retrains the automatic responses that keep producing tension, dread, hypervigilance, rumination, and emotional overload.

Change Trauma-Linked Reactions

A traumatic experience can end while the learned survival response keeps firing. Triggers, hypervigilance, avoidance, nightmares, shutdown, emotional disconnection, and intense physical reactions can continue long after the danger has passed—even when you consciously know you’re safe now.

UAM-based hypnotherapy works carefully with the present-day pattern: what activates it, what the mind expects, how attention and the body organize around danger, and what needs to become available instead. Treatment is paced around safety, stability, agency, and real-life function. The goal is for the past to stop automatically organizing the present.

John works with appropriate trauma-linked reactions within scope. Hypnotherapy may work alongside licensed mental-health care when the case requires it. Hypnosis isn’t used to search for hidden memories or turn images, sensations, or impressions into claims about the past.

Trauma Work Is Not Memory Hunting

Repressed memories have never been proven to exist. False memories are real, well documented, and surprisingly easy to create—with or without hypnosis. Hypnosis can make an image, feeling, or memory seem more vivid, emotional, detailed, and certain without making it more accurate.

Vividness isn’t verification. Emotion isn’t proof. Certainty isn’t accuracy.

Boise Hypnosis doesn’t search for, recover, confirm, or interpret supposed hidden memories. Helping someone change a present-day fear, emotional trigger, body response, avoidance pattern, or trauma-related reaction is entirely different from trying to manufacture a story about the past.

The goal is to change the pattern that is active now—not construct a story about what may have happened long ago.

Overcome Fears and Phobias

You can know that a flight or a drive is safe while your body prepares for danger.

Fear doesn’t have to make logical sense to feel completely real. Boise Hypnosis works with the learned associations, expectations, physical reactions, and protective responses that keep a fear active.

The goal isn’t merely to endure the situation. It’s to experience it with greater comfort, freedom, and control.

Become Free From Nicotine

Nicotine can feel like relief, comfort, focus, reward, or a way to handle stress—even while it strengthens the cycle that keeps creating the need for more.

Boise Hypnosis addresses the automatic expectations, emotional associations, routines, identity patterns, and conditioned urges that keep nicotine relevant.

Regain Control Over Alcohol or Another Addictive Pattern

You can sincerely want to stop or regain control and still find the old response taking over when familiar triggers appear.

An addictive pattern may become linked with relief, reward, escape, stimulation, connection, emotional regulation, or identity. Changing it requires more than removing the behavior. Your mind must learn a better response that can reliably perform the job the old pattern was trained to do.

Boise Hypnosis works with appropriate addictive patterns in medically stable clients. It doesn’t provide detoxification, manage dangerous withdrawal, or replace specialized medical, psychiatric, or substance-use treatment when that level of care is needed.

Change Habits, Compulsions, and Automatic Behaviors

Nail biting, skin picking, repetitive behaviors, avoidance, and other unwanted habits can begin running before you’ve consciously decided what to do.

Treatment identifies what triggers the pattern, what reinforces it, and what your mind has learned to expect from it. Hypnosis then trains the more useful response until it becomes the response your mind expects to use where the old pattern once took over.

Change Your Relationship With Eating, Cravings, and Health Behaviors

Knowing what you want to do doesn’t always change what happens around food.

Cravings, emotional eating, automatic portions, reward patterns, self-concept, and all-or-nothing thinking can repeatedly overpower a sensible plan.

Boise Hypnosis works with the automatic patterns that influence eating and health behavior. It doesn’t replace medical care, nutritional treatment, or specialized eating-disorder treatment when those are needed.

Sleep More Naturally

Trying harder to sleep often creates the pressure that keeps you awake.

Treatment targets the conditioned arousal, anticipatory worry, mental rehearsal, and automatic struggle that begin when your mind has learned to associate bedtime with effort or frustration.

Address Other Appropriate Automatic Patterns

Some important goals don’t fit the familiar categories above. Appropriate UAM-based work may involve preparing for surgery and recovery; changing learned responses that intensify medically managed pain or physical symptoms; stuttering when anticipation, tension, self-monitoring, or avoidance is materially involved; situational inhibition or self-consciousness; adherence to medical, rehabilitation, health, or professional plans; or adjustment to a new role, responsibility, identity, or level of visibility.

John also works with children and teenagers when the goal, developmental level, participation, family conditions, safety, and any existing care make hypnotherapy an appropriate fit.

The question isn’t whether your goal has a familiar hypnosis label. It’s whether a learned automatic pattern is materially shaping the result—and whether changing that pattern belongs within responsible hypnotherapy.

Develop Greater Capability

You don’t need to have a serious problem to benefit from hypnotherapy.

Sometimes nothing is fundamentally wrong. You want to become more confident, focused, composed, persuasive, consistent, or capable than you are today.

That’s generative work: using hypnosis to develop responses and abilities that don’t yet exist at the level you want—or making existing strengths more dependable when they matter most.

Build Stronger Confidence and Self-Concept

Confidence isn’t merely something you tell yourself to feel. It affects what you notice, expect, attempt, tolerate, and allow yourself to become.

Generative hypnosis strengthens the automatic expectations, emotional responses, and sense of identity that support confident action.

Perform at a Higher Level

Knowing how to perform and being able to access your best under pressure aren’t always the same thing.

Hypnotherapy can be used to strengthen concentration, composure, mental rehearsal, recovery, competitive focus, stage presence, communication, and reliable access to well-trained abilities.

This work may be appropriate for speakers, athletes, performers, executives, sales professionals, and others whose results depend on how effectively they perform when the moment matters.

John also welcomes serious inquiries from coaches, teams, professional sports organizations, and other organizations seeking highly individualized performance work.

Strengthen Focus, Consistency, and Follow-Through

You may already know what to do but struggle to access the same drive, clarity, or execution consistently.

Generative work trains stronger automatic support for focused attention, decisive action, productive routines, and sustained movement toward an important goal.

Change the Pattern. Then Raise the Ceiling.

Remedial and generative work can become especially powerful when they’re used together.

Someone may begin by changing the fear that makes public speaking miserable. Once that fear no longer controls the experience, the work can continue—developing presence, vocal authority, audience connection, persuasive impact, and the ability to speak exceptionally well under pressure.

An athlete may begin by overcoming performance anxiety, hesitation, or the effects of a past mistake. Generative work can then strengthen competitive composure, recovery, precision, confidence, and access to peak performance.

The disappearance of the problem doesn’t have to be the end of the work. It can become the beginning of a higher level of capability.

Relief → Freedom → Development → Excellence

Your Goal Deserves More Than a Generic Script

Two people can describe the same problem and need very different treatment.

The visible behavior may be similar, while the triggers, emotions, expectations, protective functions, identity patterns, and real-world demands beneath it are completely different.

John uses a proprietary UAM-based clinical architecture to identify the actual pattern and construct individualized treatment around the person, the target, and the result they want.

That precision matters whether the goal is eliminating a limitation or developing an exceptional capability.

Not Sure Whether Your Goal Fits?

You don’t need to diagnose yourself or choose the right service before getting started.

Begin with the appropriate free prospective-client guide. The Guide will help you understand the work, consider whether you’re ready for meaningful change, and decide whether to continue to the AI Assistant’s preliminary readiness and fit assessment—without being pressured into treatment.

Nicotine inquiries receive the Nicotine Cessation Guide. Other appropriate inquiries begin with the General Prospective Client Guide.

After you complete the Guide, the AI Assistant conducts the brief preliminary readiness and fit assessment. If the screening indicates that a consultation is appropriate, the AI Assistant helps you schedule one with John. John personally confirms suitability and treatment fit during the consultation. When he confirms that treatment is appropriate, a Personalized Treatment Plan is the normal next step.

If you’re still exploring, gathering information, or not ready to act, the educational pathway remains available until that changes.
